Orthopedics involves the prevention and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and post surgical rehabilitation. The goal of treatment is to promote optimal health and function in the musculoskeletal system. Some of the most common conditions include shoulder bursitis and rotator cuff impingement, tennis elbow, anterior knee pain/runners knee, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis.
I have a passion for orthopedics and staying up to date on research and advancements in this area. There is recent research supporting physical therapy as an effective treatment for many common orthopedic conditions mentioned above. Click here for a brief summary of some of my latest readings.
